Make sure you include fruits and vegetables in you daily eating. For many people cooking vegetables is seen as hard work but when someone else does it there is no work involved. At the buffet put vegetables on your plate first so there is less room for other foods. Wherever you are there will be local fruit in season, so enjoy this as well and have fruit before the cake or ice-cream.There is much opportunity to be active when you are on holidays.

Take the stairs in preference to the elevator wherever you can (OK not when lugging suitcases). You can walk a few blocks rather than take a cab if staying in a city or take a walk in nature if staying out of the city. Apart from being good exercise it will get you out in the fresh air and sunshine, which is good for your vitamin D levels. Getting into nature is also very grounding and relaxing. The simplest way to do this is to take a walk in a park.
